Intersection of journalism and pastoral accompaniment

I wrote a little something for the folks who helped make me into a journalist, and though they didn’t know it, a pastor: “My heart goes out to my former newspaper colleagues who remain, working hard to continue telling their community‚Äôs stories. I now live in a country that does not enjoy those same freedoms. Nearly all media in Honduras is highly partisan, and opposition voices are regularly subject to threats and violence.”

Guilty Feminist: Faith and feminism

One of my favorite podcasts tackled faith and feminism in such a wonderful way: “The problem isn’t the Bible,” a queer feminist chaplain said. “The problem is whom we’ve allowed to read the Bible.”
