I was a newspaper reporter and editor in Kentucky for nine years, and then I was laid off. It was a good, if short, career. Now I have graduated from a Presbyterian seminary (reformed, get it?) in California, have worked as a hospice chaplain back in my home state of New Mexico, and was recently ordained as a mission co-worker to serve the Presbyterian Church in Honduras.

I’m interested in faith, media, chaplaincy and church work, rural America, disenfranchised populations, church unity, travel, getting paid to write, Latin America, grammar and style, hiking and camping, hospitality, stewardship and peace.

You can read more about the mission work I do here and you can give to support Presbyterian mission work in Honduras here.
